While growing up in Northern Virginia, I was first introduced to massage at a young age because my Mom was a massage therapist. However, at that time I didn’t truly understand how beneficial massage was to the body, nor did I see myself becoming a massage therapist when I grew up. I went to Davis and Elkins College in West Virginia where I played soccer and pursued my goal of becoming a teacher.  There I earned a bachelors degree in physical education and health, however, I was unable to find my ideal teaching job.  Three years later I decided it was time for a career change.With a new goal in mind--to help people feel better both physically and mentally--I returned to my roots and chose massage therapy.
 
I attended the Denver School of Massage Therapy where I gained my appreciation for the influence massage can have on the body and the power of touch.  We are constantly causing pain and tension to our bodies, and most of the time we don’t even realize we're doing it. My goal as a Massage Therapist is to maintain the highest level of body work through my commitment to understand the needs and wants of my clients I work with.  I want every client that comes across my table to leave with a relaxed mind and body as well as the knowledge and benefits provided by massage.   My favorite types of massage to perform are Deep Tissue and Sports, and I have been privileged enough to be given the opportunity to work with the Aaron's Professional Women's Cycling Team.  This experience has given me a better understanding of what an athlete goes through and what I can do as a massage therapist to benefit them in their training and/or competitions. 
 
Besides massage therapy I like to spend time with my husband and two dogs, Rock and Summit. Friends and family are very important to me and I love to laugh and be around people. I’m an adventurous person and I love the outdoors so in my free time I like to go skiing, biking, camping, hiking and rock climbing.  I also enjoy playing soccer and cooking.
